How we can help

Good support should make everyday life easier without taking over. We work alongside you, helping you stay independent, comfortable and connected to the people and places that matter.

Getting support is simple

You do not need to have everything worked out before getting in touch.

1

Start with a conversation

Tell us what has become difficult, what are your needs, what outcome you require from care at home support.

2

Agree the right support

We talk through the help required, preferred times, routines, communication needs, family considerations, and practical details such as local authority funding options under Self Directed Support. This will take the form of a defined Care Plan with a simple Service Agreement.

3

Our partnership begins

Our partnership for support will begin as soon as possible and will continue with regular communication and adjustments as needs or preferences change.

Paying for support

Arranging support privately

You can contact us directly if you are arranging and paying for support for yourself or a family member. We will explain what we can provide, current availability and costs before you make a decision.

There is no obligation to proceed simply because you have made an enquiry.

Council-funded support

If you may be eligible for council-funded social care, your local authority will assess your needs and explain your Self-directed Support choices. The council, rather than Angus & Mearns Support, decides eligibility and funding.

People in Angus should contact Angus Council. Laurencekirk, Johnshaven, St Cyrus and Marykirk are in Aberdeenshire, so residents there should contact Aberdeenshire Council.
